Choose a price plan that works:

1. Percentage Rate: The straight percentage rates apply to amounts actually collected on the account. The rate depends on whether the account was previously placed for collection and whether it can be resolved without filing legal action with a court:

Pre-Litigation

Litigation:

First Placement:

20%

35%
Previously Placed:

25%

35%

2. Hourly Rates:  Some clients prefer an hourly rate for all work. The hourly rate depends on the size of your company:

Size of Your Company:

Hourly Rate:

Small (under 50 employees):

$225
Medium (50 to 1,000 employees) $250
Large (over 1,000 employees): $275

For litigation under either plan, filing & service fees and out-of-pocket costs are extra. There may be a flat "suit fee" for the initial court filing in some cases, in addition to regular fees.

Referral to Another Attorney: For litigation outside Northern Virginia, we may be able to refer the case to a local attorney who specializes in litigating cases in that court.

What's Needed to Get Started?  Follow-up legal services require a conflicts check and an Engagement Letter signed by us. Collection work can start upon receipt of the basic account information (e.g., a copy of any invoice, contract, debtor contact information and an explanation why the debtor has not paid).

Contact: John Newman, legal@aol.com (send no confidential information at this time)

Note: Commencement of follow-up legal services is subject to a conflicts check and signing an Engagement Letter. A deposit may be required on new accounts. We prefer a single price plan for all placements, absent special circumstances. All legal services are performed in Virginia USA. Contact: legal@aol.com. Immediate litigation may be required to preserve a claim if the limitations period is about to expire. If we spend time on a case, we may charge a referral fee for providing case information and an assessment to a local attorney. Referral fees are usually taken out of the receiving attorney's fee (this may involve a fee split between the forwarding and receiving attorney). Collection services are not affiliated with QuickForm Contracts, PrivacyBot.com or Invisible Hand Software, LLC, or legal drafting services.
